Facebook Competition for Jef Neve in concert at Maasmechelen Village

Article 1
The competition, ‘Facebook Competition for Jef Neve in concert at Maasmechelen Village’, is organised by VR Maasmechelen Tourist Outlets Comm. VA. (the “Promoter”), with registered office at Zetellaan 100, 3630 Maasmechelen, Belgium and registered at the Crossroad Bank of Enterprises (Kruispuntbank der Ondernemingen) under the number 0465.707.490. The competition, hereafter the “Competition”, starts on the 4th November 2019 at 11.30 AM CET and finishes on the 7th November 2019 at 22.00 PM CET.

The Competition will be in no way sponsored, approved or managed by Facebook and Facebook will not be associated with the Competition.

Article 2
All physical persons can participate in the Competition on the condition that they are at least 18 years old and participate as private citizens. Employees of VR Maasmechelen Tourist Outlet Comm. VA., its affiliated companies, members of their family in the first and second line as well as employees of our marketing partners involved in this Competition are not allowed to participate.

Article 3

Every registration with an invalid Facebook profile will be null and void. One participation per valid Facebook profile.

Article 4

Prizes which can be won:

  • 1 Maasmechelen Village gift card ad € 150 AND a front-row seat during the Jef Neve concert AND a dinner for 2 @ Le Petit Belge

Article 5

In order to participate, you should mention, during the period of the Competition, in a “comment” (e.g. a oneliner, brief story or poem) on this Facebook post (URL to be added) “who you want to take to the concert and why?”.

An expert jury will select in total 1 comment, being the most original comment.

The comment should be in line with the terms and conditions of the social network they are posted on (Facebook). The content that you share cannot be: hate speech, insulting, racist, illegal, damaging, misleading, threatening or pornographic; cannot incite violence or contain nudity, obscenity or graphic/gratuitous violence. 

Article 6

The prizes as mentioned in Article 4 will be awarded to the winner, i.e., the person whose comment is found to be the most original comment by the expert jury.  

The winner will receive a direct Facebook message from the Promoter by the 8th of November 2019 before 19.00 PM CET.

Afterwards the winner can come to the Tourist Information Centre in Maasmechelen Village on the 10th of November 2019 to claim his/her prize, upon presentation of his/her legitimation as proof of his/her identity, together with the abovementioned direct Facebook confirmation message.

Article 7

Any attempt at fraud will be sanctioned with immediate exclusion of the participant. Identification has to correspond with the name used upon registration at the website. If not, the participant will be excluded immediately.

Article 8
The prizes are personal and not transferable. They cannot be exchanged in any way, not even against their monetary value.

Article 9
In the event that the winner does not fulfil the criteria stipulated in these regulations, the prize will not be awarded and will remain the property of the Promoter.

Article 10
The Promoter reserves the right to publish the name of the winner and his/her prizes online at www.MaasmechelenVillage.com, without any further compensation to the winner. By participating in the Competition, participants expressly agree to the publication of their details.

Article 11
The participants agree to having their identity checked and for their stated address to be compared against their national identity card. Every false declaration of identity or address will lead to the immediate exclusion of the participant.

Article 12
Participation in the Competition implies knowledge and acceptance of the characteristics and limitations of the Internet, specifically as regards to technical performance, the risk of interruption, and, more generally, the risks inherent to any connection and transmission over the Internet, the absence of protection of certain data against possible diversions and the risk of infection by viruses on the network.

The Promoter in no event can be held liable among others for:

  • Transmissions over the Internet
  • Malfunction of the Internet and/or software used
  • The consequences of viruses, bugs, anomalies, technical defects
  • Any technical, hardware or software malfunctions of any kind.

The Promotor cannot be held liable for any direct or indirect damage resulting from an interruption, any dysfunction, exclusion of participants or the termination of the Competition for whatever reason. This also applies to any direct or indirect damage which may arise from a connection to this site.

Every participant must take all necessary measures to secure his/her own data and/or software on his/her computer equipment and/or his/her site against any attack.

The connection with the site of the Promoter and participation in the Competition are the sole responsibility of the participants. Nor can the Promoter be held responsible if the present Competition has to be changed, cut short or cancelled due to force majeure or for reasons beyond its control.

The Promoter reserves the right to determine whether the rules have been respected, specifically to exclude any participant who has abused the rules.

During the Competition any additions or, in case of force majeure, changes can be published after notification by the Promoter. They will be considered as appended to these rules. 

Article 13

The Promotor reserves the right to change, extend or even completely cancel the Competition in extreme conditions due to events that are entirely beyond its control. The promotor cannot be held liable if the Competition has to be interrupted, delayed or even cancelled due to reasons beyond its control.

Any case that is not expressly provided for in these rules will be decided by the Promoter whose decision is final.

Article 14

By participating in this Competition, the participant acknowledges acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.

Article 15

By participating, you are requested to provide the following personal data: your Facebook or Instagram account name (public account). These personal data will be processed for selecting and contacting the winner. The provision of these personal data is required for the execution of the Competition in which the participant is involved. The entry that has won the Competition with mention of the name shall be shared on social media of Value Retail. The winning participant agrees with this in the manner as determined in the competition form.

Value Retail is the data controller of these personal data. The personal data shall be processed by Value Retail and stored on a local server. The personal data shall be preserved until three months after the Competition has been closed and the winner has been contacted.

The participant has the right to request Value Retail to inspect and rectify the personal data. By participating, the participant acknowledges that, in case he/she has won, his/her personal data shall be shared on social media of Value Retail. Value Retail reserves the right to contact each participant for clarification and verification, whenever it sees fit. The participant has the right to file a complaint with the supervisory authority (in principle the Belgian Supervisory Authority https://www.gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit.be/ ).
